ANCHORAGE, Alaska — According to a Facebook post by sculptor Jordan Anderson, the stolen eagle carving was found at an address on Klatt Road, Monday night. No further details were immediately available.
Anchorage Police say on Sunday someone stole a giant wooden carving of an eagle out of the bed of a truck sitting in the Lowe's home improvement store parking lot on O'Malley Road.
Police say there is surveillance video of the theft.
Anderson says he left the wooden eagle, which he was getting ready to deliver, in the bed of his truck for a mere eight minutes while he went into the Lowe's store to get supplies. That's when he says someone swiped the carving.
Anchorage Police say they did watch surveillance video that Lowe's captured on Sunday, but they couldn't clearly see a license plate number. Police say a green Chevy pickup truck with a hard-top back ran away with the carving.
