2 Men Shot Outside Showboat Club

June 17, 2012|By Matthew Simon | Channel 2 News

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A shooting outside of a downtown Anchorage strip club early Sunday morning left two men with non-life-threatening injuries, according to APD’s spokesperson.

Lt. Dave Parker says police received a report of shots fired outside of the Club Elixir Night Club at 3:45 a.m.  When officers arrived on the scene Parker says they discovered evidence in the street revealing the shooting had actually occurred at the Showboat Club.

As police honed in on that scene, Parker says drivers began to quickly disperse and drive away.  None of the drivers stopped reported seeing anything.

A short time later Parker says two men showed up at an area hospital with gunshot wounds to their arms and legs.

No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting, and the names of the men who were shot are not being released due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
