ANCHORAGE, Alaska — On Thursday afternoon, a head-on Parks Highway crash near Willow killed 80-year-old Delores Stilwell, of Trapper Creek, and three people were injured, according to Alaska State Troopers.

AST spokesperson Megan Peters says the crash happened at 1:15 p.m. at Mile 63 of the Parks. A sedan and van were involved with a total of four people involved, but Peters wasn’t immediately sure how many people were in each vehicle.

Stilwell was the passenger in a 1989 Chevrolet van driven by 82-year-old Lee Stilwell, of Trapper Creek.

In the troopers dispatch, the van crossed the center line and collided with a 2004 Subaru outback traveling northbound driven by 68-year-old Jeannette Keida, of Willow, and 64-year-old Richard Keida, of Willow, was riding as a passenger in the sedan.

Delores Stilwell was pronounced deceased at the scene. Jeannette Keida was life flighted to Providence for her injuries and the others were treated at the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for injuries.

Peters said at about 3 p.m. that one lane of the Parks was open to traffic in alternating directions and the scene was cleared shortly after 5:00 p.m.

Troopers say all occupants were wearing their seatbelts and both vehicles are a total loss.
