Anchorage Man Found Dead in Austin, Texas

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Austin, Texas police have confirmed the death of an Anchorage man found in a local creek last weekend.

Austin police recovered the body of Cole Christianson from Shoal Creek, just behind the Austin Music Hall, after authorities received a call at about 11 a.m. Saturday.

According to Christianson's Facebook page, he attended Dimond High School and was on track to graduate from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2014.

An investigation of Christianson’s death has been completed, and police have ruled that it is not suspicious.

An autopsy was performed by the Travis County medical examiner, but Christianson’s toxicology results and cause of death will not be available for at least six to eight weeks.
