ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Anchorage police arrested a suspect in last month's robbery of a tanning salon Tuesday afternoon, after he was identified through tips given to investigators by the public.

APD spokesperson Lt. Dave Parker says Brandon P. Collins, 45, has been charged with second-degree robbery. Police say an Oct. 27 surveillance video from the Color Me Tan salon, on the 6300 block of DeBarr Road, shows Collins walking into the store, taking money from a clerk and pushing her to the floor during the incident.

Investigators are still looking for more information on the robbery or any of Collins’ other activities, and ask anyone with information on them to call APD at 786-8900.
