ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Buck Nystrom, Alaska's winningest high school football coach, and Herb Didrickson, a basketball legend in Southeast Alaska whose career started in the 1940's, have been elected to the seventh class of the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame as individuals.

Also making the hall of fame as a sporting event was the Equinox Marathon in Fairbanks, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2012.  The Equinox is regarded as one of the toughest marathons in the United States.

And voted in for the sports moments category were Les Anderson's world record king salmon catch in 1985 and Chris Clark's victory in the 2000 Olympic marathon trials.

The class of 2013 will be inducted sometime in late February.
