An Anchorage man has been charged with two felony counts of second-degree domestic-violence assault after allegedly throwing and hitting his fiancée's 21-month-old son in two separate incidents this week. Charging documents (PDF) claim Jeremy Kelly, 23, assaulted Eli Warford on Monday and Tuesday, while the toddler's mother was at work and Kelly stayed home to care for him. Amber Warford told detectives she received a Monday call from Kelly in which he claimed the child had fallen from a couch, hitting his head on the floor, and was acting clingy.

The Anchorage Police Department says a downtown bar bouncer at Rumrunners and the corporation that owns the bar have been charged with assault and police say there may be more victims who have yet to come forward. A grand jury indicted 39-year-old Murville L. Lampkin, a Rumrunners bouncer, on a charge of second degree assault in March. The grand jury also indicted AB & M Enterprises, Incorporated, the corporation which owns the bar, on charges of second degree assault, tampering with physical evidence, and two counts of falsifying business records.

More than a year after being convicted for raping four women while on duty during 2008 and 2009, former Anchorage police officer Anthony Rollins was sentenced to 87 years in prison Friday. District Court Judge Philip Volland sentenced Rollins to a total of 151 years and six months in prison on numerous counts of sexual assault and misconduct, with 87 remaining to serve. Volland said that the sentence means Rollins won't be eligible for parole until his early nineties -- 57 years into his 87-year sentence.

Anchorage police are looking for a man they say was involved in a Feb. 22 domestic-violence assault in Midtown. Kevin Richard Arnold, 31, allegedly fled the scene of the assault, on the 800 block of East 45th Court, in the victim's vehicle which was later recovered. Officers subsequently obtained an arrest warrant for Arnold in connection with the assault and vehicle theft. Arnold, who has brown hair and eyes, stands 6 feet fall and weighs 210 pounds. Anyone who sees Arnold is asked to call APD at 786-8900 or Crime Stoppers at 561-7867, or submit an anonymous tip at Crime Stoppers' website.

An Anchorage cab driver convicted of sexually assaulting a woman in his cab two years ago was sentenced to 15 years in prison with five suspended Thursday afternoon. Rafael Lopez Martinez was convicted in August 2011 of second-degree sexual assault for raping a woman in March 2010 near her East Anchorage home after she fell asleep in his cab. The woman told police she woke up to find her jeans and underwear removed and Martinez lying beside her; after an investigation, he was arrested that summer for the crime.

Three men were arrested Saturday in two separate cases of sexual assault, both of which Anchorage police say involved intoxicated suspects. According to APD spokesperson Lt. Dave Parker, 43-year-old Ethmer Rader III was arrested Saturday on one count of second-degree attempted sexual assault, while his friend Lawrence Nicolaides, 33, was arrested on one count each of first-degree and second-degree sexual assault, as well as tampering with evidence....

One of two Barrow children who were severely assaulted Thursday night and medevaced to Anchorage died Saturday, as North Slope Borough police arrested a man accused of illegally selling alcohol to a suspect in the death. Officials say the 3-year-old assault victim was reported dead at the Alaska Native Medical Center at about 3 p.m. Saturday. There was no update on the condition of a 1-year-old child who was also medevaced after the assault. North Slope Borough police officers responded Thursday to a report that the 3-year-old wasn't breathing, at an apartment on the 200 block of Momeganna Street.

Two Barrow children have medevaced to Anchorage after being assaulted at an apartment where a 28-year-old man was arrested in connection with the crime Thursday night. North Slope Borough Police Department officers responded to a 911 call requesting an ambulance at an apartment building on the 200 block of Momeganna Street for a child who was not breathing. Responders found a 3-year-old child who didn't have a pulse and wasn't breathing, as well as a 1-year-old in need of emergency medical attention.

The Anchorage Police Department arrested an additional suspect on Tuesday for a stabbing that took place in Mountain View on Sunday morning. Police arrested 23-year-old Nicholas Moore for his connection with the stabbing assault and stabbing of 56-year-old Thomas Atkinson. Atkinson died Tuesday morning at a local hospital. APD allege that 21-year-old Richard Smith and Moore were drinking with Atkinson and his girlfriend on the 700 block of North Flower Street. Smith surrendered on Sunday night and was arraigned on Monday for second-degree and fourth-degree assault.

A man set himself on fire on Tuesday night and faces assault charges for hitting a woman, according to Anchorage Police. APD spokesperson Lt. Dave Parker says 28-year-old Harold Finger III ignited himself during a disturbance around 8:33 p.m. Tuesday. Officers found him badly burned at an apartment on the 200 block of North Klevin Street. Both Finger's family and an initial news release from Parker described Finger as a mixed martial arts fighter, but the owner of the Alaska Fighting Championship says Finger has never been registered as an MMA fighter in the state.
