On April 2, 2013, Michael Gene Russell, 35, was arrested by detectives from the Anchorage Police Department Cyber Crimes Unit for one count of Distribution of Child Pornography and five counts of Possession of Child Pornography. On March 28, a co-worker of Russell's contacted the Anchorage Police Department after finding child pornography on a computer that had been previously used by Russell. APD seized and examined the computer before the images could be deleted because of the co-worker's quick response.

(Courtesy: APD) The Anchorage Police Department has turned to the public for information on the whereabouts of a man suspected of possessing and distributing child pornography. Police alleged 52-year-old David Bristow of five counts of distribution of child pornography and three counts of possession and say Bristow may have left the state. APD cyber crimes detectives began its investigation last September after receiving tips on Bristow. The Alaska Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force served a search warrant on his South Anchorage home and seized computers and digital media.
