Sarah Palin was in the spotlight again Saturday night, speaking at the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville, Tenn. Protesters for -- and against -- Palin demonstrated outside the convention before she spoke. During her speech, Palin criticized the Obama administration for many things, including its handling of the stimulus bill, the war on terror and the health care debate. She said the president's 2011 is "immoral" because it increases the national debt. Palin also predicted a good year for conservative political candidates, pointing to Sen. Scott Brown's win in Massachusetts.

Now that reporters have had a few days to sort through the boxes and boxes of Sarah Palin's emails, sent or received during her time as governor, the question remains -- was it worth it?   Most reporters were not expecting anything particularly explosive; instead, they were looking to gain a better sense of how Palin interacted with her colleagues and the public. That's apparently all they got. The New York Times reported that Palin's governing style was not necessarily an either-or proposition.

More than 13,000 e-mails from Sarah Palin's time as governor of Alaska were released at 9 a.m. Friday in Juneau. Here's a few examples: Palin kept a close eye on media reports about herself and her staff.   Responding to a July 26, 2007 letter to the editor printed in the Anchorage Daily News complaining that Palin did not meet with Miss Alaska, Palin wrote staffers, "I'm looking for someone to correct the letter writer's goofy comments, but don't want the letter to the ADN in response to come from me. " Once Palin was tapped to run as Sen. John McCain’s running mate, she wrote an email to her spokesperson, Bill McAllister, also a former KTUU reporter, and complained about media inquiries they were getting, which ranged from questions about whether she paid for a tanning bed in the governor's mansion, to inquires about her belief about dinosaurs and humans coexisting at the same time.

Thousands of emails written on a private email account of Sarah Palin will be released Friday. During her time as governor Palin often used a Yahoo account to conduct state business. The state will release more than 24,000 pages of emails written from 2006-2008. Out of those, 23,073 have been redacted. 953 are being withheld, and 140 pages are considered personal.  The state said some of the emails are being redacted because they are covered by the executive deliberate process privilege, "which applies to communications before a decision is made that can convey candid back and fourth about decisions that are going to be made,"said Dave Jones, a senior assistant attorney general with the state.
